I see at the Vaux manual that it's recommended to use Loctite 242 for the turbo's exhaust manifold nuts.
However, this doesn't ring OK to me, as this is not for high temps at all.
Loctite 246 would appear to be better suited for the extreme temps of these nuts. Has anyone used this?
On another note, I have just realised that the 6 elbow bolts HAVE to be replaced anyway, according to TIS
I wonder if anyone has ever replaced them (they're pricey, too). If not, I would expect potential exhaust leaks under boost, especially since there is no gasket there.
Due to lack of 'garage time' I move very slowly, and as a result I find lots of 'gotchas' in reassembling the LET's head bits
I'm not surprised that so many rebuilts end up in tears (well, exhaust smoke actually)
In the end I'll post what I think is a comprehensive 'to do' list of LET head reinstallation
