can anyone help us. i am in the middle of a 2ltr 16v conversion into a mk3 astra and the loom wont match up colour for colour in the car. the loom is out a cavvy and where it goes into the ECU there is a small loom coming off and i dont know what goes where. when i match it up colour for colour i have 5 wires on the cavvy loom left and 2 on the astra loom left can any one help.
Also the fuel pump is not working is this caused by the wires that are not connected up in the two looms.
do i need to change the fuel pump on the astra it was a 16i 8v before the conversion
On the cavalier loom you will be left with the following wire colours. Leave disconnected.
On the astra loom disconnected :
The fuel pump wire is the slightly thicker Red/Blue wire. So make sure that's connected. On the cav end it's on it's own connector.
Is your ECU light coming on when you turn the ignition on ?
Have you connected the thick red wire (covered in black tube) upto battery + ?
Is the ignition wire under the dissy (black wire single connector) connected to ignition ?
Are the spark plugs sparking during cranking ?
