Hi Shane, just to let you know I got the injectors on Wednesday and they look great. Bit of a disaster with the belt there. I got my timing belt and rollers replaced on thursday after speaking to you. My car is a 1998 R only done 33,000, but I still think it was worth doing for peace of mind as I will be running higher revs with the throttle bodies and don't want to tempt fate. I just got my local Vauxhall dealer to do it as they are quite good, and though I am up for pretty much any car maintenence (I am fitting the throttle bodies myself) I have a serious phobia of timing belts as several of my friends have had bad failures, and I know how bad the consequences of being even a touch out are. The only problem was the price of 200 squid but that was for the lot and it is only every 40,000. By the way that is interesting about the cam sensor being the problem. I was going to remove it anyway when fitting the throttle bodies (MBE doesn't use it) just for neatness, but will definately remove it now.
Cheers and good luck for the rebuild
If your running throttle bodies you really should use the SBD steel idlers. They are meant to be bomb proof and if your going to be driving it hard (of course you are if your fitting tb's!) then you dont really want to risk a broken idler!
I just bought a set for mine, they aint cheap at £107 for the set but worth the piece of mind.
Pm box empty now. i`ll pm you miles
