Whilst flicking through the latest Max Poo that my office sharer had bought (what an awful magazine!) I read their guide to fitting a starter button. I was initially confused as to why the used a relay and a connection to the alternator. I twigged it was an 'automatic' one that you simply press once and the starter keeps going till the enigne fires.
It said the kit was £55 or summat! So I thought sod that and whipped a diagram up in OrCad for people to look at.
What do you think?
Basically, the relay latches itself untill the alternator terminal is raised above ground potential. Shold work, shouldn't it? One touch and you're away! Very easy to wire into an alarm and have remote start.
