Them ecoshite make a daft noise aswell!!
FSE's are only worth it if you have major mods that require more fueling,Put your monet towards an air filter and zaust.
Dont bother with a chip either, unless its a uni chip which is mapped to you specific car,not generic. You can get good gains from a uni chip alone,Plus it can be remapped for any future mods to make the most of them.
A unichip is the next best thing to an MBE or similar full engine management sytem.
Bigger front discs will serve you MUCH better than rear discs.
People use astra 16v discs(256mm) n calipers,or you can use cav V6 caliper with redrilled disc for 4stud fitment,V6 discs are 288mm and provide real stopping power.
Fitting rear discs will hardly be noticable, rear brakes dont do much braking, the fronts do 80% or more, converting to rear discs isnt an easy job either.
16v or V6 discs n calipers is an easy job.
The 16v ones bolt straight on with no mods at all.
The cav V6 ones need the discs redrilling for 4 stud, but then they will bold straight on with no mods.
A better bet than a cam,to keep driveability is ported head, you get a good increase in both bhp and torque and it wont adversley affect driveability.Vaux cams are hard to better.
Id go for Cav V6 discs n caliper which will cost you a bit more than £200 and leave the rear standard.
And see bill blydenstain or whatever hes called for a head.
I changed my spark plugs a couple of days ago after 8000 miles and their condition was fabulous. They where light in gray and no hint of carbon build up at all so I guess my pots must be of the same condition. Not bad I suppose for 130,000 miles
Fitted to an Astra 16v GTE and the whole thing transformed the car.
OK, put your foot down and you still used fuel.
Traveling at 60-70 in normal moving traffic and it used NO fuel at all, With only a wiff of throttle. Managed to get from my house to Newcastle using only 1BAR on the fuel gauge. (thats about 70 miles or so)
I reckon it saved the price of the valve in only a month......
At the end of the day, it doesn't do any harm and I recommend it highly.
