ok my mate has just bought a nova with a valver in it.its stripped out with buckets and a cage(now mine ) i recognise it from before when one night i raced it up the motorway(to 70 remember). it was equal and it kept up with me and i only passed it up top in 5th. i asked the guy later to show me the engine but he wouldnt, claiming that it was only a standard engine. it was really lumpy on tickover so i thought it was modified in some way but didnt know what, expecting maybe a set of carbs of TB due to the fact that it kept up with me in my LET. now my mate has it and i have had a look around there dopesnt seem to be anything special about it. looks like standard inlet - deffo no TB or carbs but it hellova quick havin now been out in it.
so....my question is this.
what other things can be done to a valver to give excellent power gains enough to keep up with me? i was under impression that tb or carbs were the main thng to get big power.
