Been fiddiling with the Cally turbo clocks I bought.
Two things are wrong. The speedo is way out (around double speed) and the rev counter read different to the old one.
Now I have realised that the speedo is wrong because the weight in the speedo mechanism is different. Originally I thought that the speedo weight would be slightly smaller to compensate for the speed numbers being closer together.
The old 140 clocks had around a 1700 weight in them
The new 160 clocks have around a 970 weight in them.
The only thing I can think of is the plastic cog that is directly below the speedo cable in the gearbox needs replacing with one from an F28????? Can anyone provide info on this?
Also with the rev counter, the old 140 clocks had a 7K RPM counter. and the at idle it would say around 1K idle. On the 160 clocks (with an 8K counter) it says around 800rpm at idle (when warm)
Any gen on this too??
What a pain
