"Compare the area of the 4 intakes, to the one of the single one."
Only 1 chamber is available to accept charge at any given time, so 1 larger body would make delivery easier.

Voiding the warranty is more the issue, just 1 hole in the plenum as opposed to 4, 1 in each body.

1. Under boost the throttles are open
2. When they're shut there's not boost
3. When you change gear the DV will vent the boost spike"
Although the butterfly is open there will still be high levels of boost in the body, this can cause possible leaks from the butterfly spindle.
Intercooler size and position are not really an issue, I have other ideas for these.
These are just my reasons for considering the single body as opposed to 4.
