I get a squeeling noise from my Corsa Gsi sometimes when I start it up from cold, it sounds like a belt slipping. Once then engine has been run for a minute or two the noise stops.
A mate of mine has a 2.0 Cav and he had the same noise, then the other day a cam belt roller shattered when he was driving along.. he had a mate who is a mechanic at a Vaux garage do it on the side for him, and he asked if the noise could have been the roller, the guy said yes they can squeel before they go.
So is this true ? Should I get mine changed asap?
I have changed the drive belt etc. because that what I thought the noise was, but its still there.
Also I remember something about Vaux ones being prone to breaking because they are plastic, and that you can get uprated ones from SBD ?? or was that something else..
Thanks for any help.
