General discussion topic here, just wondering what the reasons are for not running carbs with the existing ECU?
Firstly I take it that the fuelling and ignition are combined in the M2.5 ECU. I have been reading through some information I have regarding the 2.7 ECU and it says that the ignition is obviously affected by engine speed and ending load (and knock control). It takes the engine load from the air flow meter and I assume the engine speed from the crank sensor.
So is the only thing stopping this from working the fact that AFM won't operate properly. I'm sure there must be something else as well.
Just having a thought about why it would work really.
Maybe there's something really obvious I have missed........
