What ENGINE / FILTER / ZORST mods are worth doing to the C20NE 2L 8v? I've got a K reg with a CAT. Mods I'm interested in stuff that doesn't ruin drivability or unproportionate drop in economy but gets u some increase in BHP.
Panel filter or Induction Kit? Pipercross or K&N or other??
What works best without any kangeroo & cold start probs.
Replace zorst cat backwards? Do u get any increase here or just noise?? I've had scorpion before & was excellent quality but very quiet.
Any other BHP mods worth doing? I'd think about a cam but not at the mo.
On my old Nova SR got the engine fully rebuilt & bored out 2 the max, fully peco systems & K&N induction kit. Got about 10BHP increase which I thought wasn't good value for money & boy did it hate cold weather.
Then I got a Pug 306 XSI did zorst & filter again & bugger all BHP gain baring it sounded meaner.
So this time I want 2 know what works for this engine!
I'd like 2 ditch the CAT but I don't want 2 change b4 MOT time so it has 2 legal from the off.
full system & manifold (Any preferences of good quality here) I know Scorpion make good stuff, I thought Magnex was until I had one. Peco stuff is guff to. So bout £300 for system & what for a manifold?
Induction kit eh, what brand does a good kit for my application?
I know Courtenay recommend a lightened flywheel as a good mod, how nuch r these?
