I have been in 2 minds whether to opt for carbs or TB's. For a number of reasons, mainly price I am going to go down the carb route.
What I want to know are the mechanics of it all? (I say mechanics but mean electrics )
I'm looking to source a set of 2nd hand carbs probably 45 Webbers as I hear replacement parts and jets are more easy to source.
Can somebody try to describe to me what I need to replace on the iginiton side of things. I take it that the most financially economical route is to get a dizzy from a 1.8 Cav thus allowing mechanical advance, over paying for a mappable Ignition ECU.
I've still not fully grasped the ideology of it all though.
Answers on a postcard to Carb Conversion in laymans terms........
p.s. I'm not after a debate on whether TB's would be better.
Also what the beef with fuelling?
