After reading about everyone else getting good results from having their injectors cleaned, I had mine done yesterday.
I didn't have any specific probs ( that I knew about at least! ) but I thought it wouldn't hurt after 100k miles as I doubt they'd been done before.
Local place with an ASNU cleaner quoted £12 each + VAT to do them and for convenience as I needed the car today I took them out and had them done.
They put new O-rings and filters on and tested them before.
The flow figs were as follows
in ml (per min?)
80 81 77 80 - pattern was bad on one as noted by the guy
84 84 83 84
He said they weren't too bad compared to some he'd seen apart from the one but he said they were all better now.
Anyway, I stuck them back in but didn't really get a chance till I went to work today to try them out properly.
It seems a lot smoother from cold without so much hesitation. I'm going to replace the dizzy cap as well this week to see if I can "dial out" that last little bit of hesitancy but I prefer to do things one at a time so I can identify what was good/ made a big difference etc.
It also seems to pull a lot more through 3rd/4th gear coming out of roundabouts. It could be just "snake oil" effect I'm imagining but it honestly does feel a bit quicker.
Thought people might be interested - would I do it again with hindsight - definitely.
