My motor is burning a little oil on the over-run i.e. after a fast run on a motorway/dual carriage way etc. as I come to slow down at a round-a-bout etc. and I let of the gas as I pull off afterwards I am greeted with a nice puff of blue smoke which then clears.
There is NO smoke under heavy acceleration and when changing the plugs yesterday the electrodes were lightly grey coloured with no oily deposits at-all?
I did notice the dual ram intake pipes had a nice coating of oily gunge in them.
Also the oil pressure is good, sits at 3bar when warmed up.
I'm thinking valve stem seals? and praying its not the rings.
Anyone else got any ideas?
P.S. its a 3.0 24v.
