Having been under the bonnet a while yesterday on my car I was wondering if the layouts of the engines differ vastly from car to car or more likely, year to year.
I ask this because the airbox and airflow meter bits don't seem to fit that well and I was wondering whether if these were the wrong type it could explain the excessive juddering I experience.
Having looked at the picture of Mavv's engine bay, his coolant pot seems to be where my cav GSi one was, i.e top left of the engine. Mine is on the right near the battery. I assume this is cos he has ABS? Which means his is a 'G' or later?
Is the airbox on all 16v GTE's a different size to the Cavalier GSi or does it depend on whether the Astra is the ABS or NON ABS model?
Either way it fits but just seems a bit uncomfortable. The holes on the inner wing seem to be legit, just the box looks tiny compared to the cavalier so it got me wondering. However, I still might try and find another hose/pipe to go in there since mine is taped up and that's not too clever.
