I am taking the engine out of my astra this weekend for a bit of a rebuild and a cleanup. While the engine is out I am fitting the Blydenstein B+ head and a Lexmaul Inlet manifold(engine is a c20ne) and a few other bits I have sourced.
The question I ask is, are there any major bits and pieces that would be worth replacing whilst I have the engine out, so far I have decided on new mounts, bushes etc and am wondering what else I should renew at this point.
I know a fair bit regarding mechanincs so feel confident enough to do this job but really need to know if there is anything important to replace on the block or the head whilst everything is out and accessable.
The engine has currently done just under 70,000 miles so the bottom end should (I hope) be ok.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
