I am having problems with a 1991 Astra SXi 1800 MkII.
The usual gearbox earth went, I have since sorted this, and now the bloody thing wont start. It is turning over ok, but doesn't appear to be getting any fuel, however, if I bypass the relay so that the pump is running all the time, it still wont start. I've tried squirting some fuel into the plenum chamber and covering the inlet with my hand to block off the air supply, and it will fire and run for two seconds, but when I put the hose to the air flow meter back on, I get absolutely nowt, I'd be grateful for any suggestions other than burning it and claiming the insurance.
I can only assume that you have a standard dash. I ,you have, you've probably had less alcohol than me, but I suggest it is probably a dirty earth from the Battery, seeing as the gearbox earth ****s almost everything, glad to help, I my well be pished now, ta
