My F20 hasnt got a 5th gear, and my clutch is on its last legs.
My mate has offered me his F16 for free.
I assume that Swapping the F20 for a F16 (on a 20xe engine) is a relativly easy job.
Whilst the box is off I might as well change the clutchm. Do they go by engine size or by gearbox type?
From what ive noted on the F20 equiped astras the gear stick joins the box selector via a linkage, on the F16 equiped astras the gear stick goes direct to the box selector. Will i have a problem connecting my linkage to the F20?
Is it possible to remove the gearbox without removing the engine (its in a nova mind you)
Ive got two F16's to choose. One that came from a Belmont 1.8 SRi and one that came from a Belmont 1.8 CDi. Do the two boxes have anydifferences which one should i go for? I know the SRi is Close Ratio, dont know aout hte CDi though. Which would be better in me nova Close or Wide (I want good accelerating, but still NEED to be able to do 140mph
