I appologise in advance for looking a right Div here, but I hadn't ever heard of a Cav turbo before, well one or two but I assumed these were personal mods.
So, when were they made? Are they all 4x4 and are they the 2lt (8v?) 205bhp turbo out of the Cally's ? Or are they a lot less in standard form.......? - ie beatable off the lights.
Cheers in advance, hopefully I won't have to look this thick in future
Imagine a Cav GSi 4x4 with a turbo and leather.
C20LET (2Ltr 16v Turbo, 204Bhp)
A Calibra Turbo under a Cav shell
there was such a thing as a cav turbo, but they are getting quite rare now, the came with a 2.0 16v turbo (C20LET), the same engine that was in the calibra, they were all 4x4 and the majororty came with leather and a few came with air con too.
the look like a Cav GSi but have different front lights and grille and a different rear light panel too.
I see, so not worth ever taking one on at the lights after all then :-)
you have 170bhp
he has 204bhp
down to the driver.................
and if its standard!!!!lmao
0-60 in 6.5 aswell, top speed around 150+
very cool cars indeed, much prefer them to the shape of the calibra
Did they not make a 2wd drive cavy then? The 1st calibra turbo's were just front wheel drive if i'm not mistaken, i thought they made the cavy and calibra turbo's for the same time period.
Is your v6 calibra front wheel drive?
If i were u i'd get a 3 litre block or the whole engine. Should be just as quick as the turbo with a smoother power curve and less to go wrong.
all cav and calibra turbos were 4x4, if they are 2WD they have been converted due to txb failure and they have been put in a cav gsi
