Right dudes, as quite a lot of you know i run a standard (enginewise) Cav GSi and normally it gets around about 100 miles to a £10 of ULeaded. The other day the back box clamp gave way i suspect due to the engine mounts being done! and so i had to take the back box off at the side of the road! The car seems to only now get half of the mileage and im really concered cos im a student with not much dosh! Could the backbox being off cause this much increase in fuel consumption??
Please reply quickly, im going to the petrol station every 2 mins!!
