You have to turn the nut on the left side towards the actuator is self

No you will have to lenghten the rod,by moving the left nut to the left then moving the right nut to the left(to look the wastegate in place) it will pull more of the rod out the actuator.

Boost is like the thread exposed to the battery

Rule of thumb: more thread, more boost
    Less thread, less boost

Always wondered why the LET is so sensitive to wastegate setting.

Other eletronic boost controlled cars I've seen will have the same boost for almost any wastegate setting (within reason).

i think the only thing stopping you from winding it out to infinity is the ECU 1 bar boost limiter. I think standard boost is 0.6 flat, 0.8 overboost ? some scope for a bit of tweaking there i think, even on a standard LET.

am i right in thinking you could wind it out so its 0.7 bar or even 0.7and a bit Just so it overboosts a smidge under 1 bar ? Increase fuel pressure slightly. gotta be worth 5-10bhp ?

when my let was standard i could have just over 0.9 bar overboost and about 0.7 constant without the ecu cutting back boost

ok correct me if im worng here but ive been thinking about htis for a while now.

ok sensors tell the ecu exactly what state the engine is in. eg boost, water temp etc etc. and the ecu acts on this data to adjust timing fuelling etc to keep the engine running optimally

now....why then do ppl "superchip" their cars to adjust the fuelling and timing to suite higher boost if the original ecu can adjust for it itslef if and when it detects it??

am i making any sense here

coz it refuses to operate above a certain limit.

aftermarket chips extend the ignition and fuelling maps
