Multi-plug with the ECU loom but seperate to the ECU plug that goes through the bulk head into the drivers foot well. Whats it do and how do I go about connecting to the cars existing multi-plug which has 4 wires? Come on guys. The Mini lads are being more helpful.lmao
There should be 2 square 4-pin connectors. One is black the other is green. I think the green is the ALDL.
These are the ALDL plug and something to do with oil sender or something (don't quote me on that). I have the wiring list/diagram back at home off TIS.
A big thankyou to all the replies especially Garrie for the Piccy. My loom only has the one seperate multi-plug unlike Garrie's that has three. These two wires are Brown/White and Brown/Yellow. On the Car loom I do have the Green male Multi-plug which looks like it would couple to the female multi-plug in Garrie's Pic. I'm definately gettin a spark although there is no fuel coming through. I've also noticed the Red engine warning light on the digi dash is not lighting up. Had this problem b4 and it turned out to be the fuel pump relay. I've tapped it and swapped it with another, still no joy. Hope the above makes sense and a big thanx in advance for any advice. Jason
Thanx Topbuzz. Just looked in the Haynes manual and the 2 pin multi-plug I previously mentioned turned out to be the test plug for the ECU. Think somebody mentioned that?? Sorry guys. Anyway gonna take ya advice and check the relay side. The pumps ok, it's not even a year old yet. I'll have a crack at the weekend. Speak to ya then. Best regards Jason
