how much life is left on my clutch???
ive got a stripped engine in my garage all ready for re-building.
after looking at the clutch, there is just over 1mm left before its at the rivvets. is this clutch still ok, if so how long for?
few hundred miles?
no idea boss, but a new plate wont set you back too much and is worth doing now (like i should have done lol)
im asking on behalf of a friend as im helping him re-build a c20let at the minute. the only part we havent got round to considering is the clutch up till now.
any ideas? probably best to buy one, but if we dont have to its a few hundred quid saved.
LUK clutch plate, wont be a few hundred at all and is well worth getting at this stage
what about an uprated item as the engine has had a few bonus goodies added to it??

What power are we talking here?
There seems to be a few people who are runnig Phase kits yet with new std C20LET clutchs (LuK or sachs).
I've just bought one from Gav for £220, it has LuK stamped all over it but with uprated pads.
I got a std LuK C20LET clutch kit for £190, but it seems you can get it cheaper if you shop around.
