Other std features, self diagnosis and engine man light, unused injector drivers can be assigned to do water spray, shirt light, radiator fan etc, there is additional output for mapping water or nos, user definable break points, its got the lot, so much that I cant remember half of it.
Once you have purchased a system it will keep up with any future changes you make, turbo, cams, water injection whatever.
Most (not all) systems have fixed map sizes eg, 14x20 or 10x 28 and use 0 to 255 in Increments of 1 (256 in total) to dictate injector pulse width and the ecu does not worry about which type of injector it is connected to in terms of impedance etc due to the injector drivers being of the saturated type. (Low impedance injectors would require ballast resistors)
Once mapped any change in fuel pressure or injector size will require recalibration of the maps.
Editing break points may require changing and the editing of existing columns or rows from the new value and upwards.
Autronic has user definable map sizes eg, max fuel table size is 16x32. But if you only need to use 8x10 of 3x3 then that makes the mapping much easier, this is the same for all the maps, the minimum map size is 1x1 up to the maximum for the particular map.
Basically you can work with what you want and not around what your given.
Autromic has peak and hold type injector drivers and a table to select the injector type, this prolongs the life of the injector and also makes it respond correctly and also quicker, the main fuel numbers are 0 to 200 in Increments of .1 thatís 2000 in total.
Once mapped any change in fuel pressure or injector size will not require recalibration of the maps due to a unique injector scaling strategy. Simply enter the new setting and the rest is done for you.
Setting the break points are as simple as inserting another row or column, the software even generates an in between value for your new sites.
