Want an induction kit as the current JR filter has seen better days.So i did a search and and have seen on posts that people dont recommend k&n on a mk3. People say go for piperX. But piperX do not make a kit for this engine.
Question is does the 2.0l GSi piperX induction kit go on no problems?
get an evo 6/7 cone and bolt it on with some pipework to the throttle body and with plenty of the ol favorite - jubilee clips. Sounds great, gets good performance too, im assuming its a multipoint injection yeah?
if look up welshminispares on google, phone the number, speak 2 steve moon and ask if he has any evo 7 simota induction cones in stock.. should be about £20ish postage extra obviously.
Just keep the air box, use 'performance' panel filter, remove the resonator box (if fitted) and provide a pipe from the front of the car (ie toeing eye) to the bottom of the air box inlet hole. This is just as good if not better. Plus its insurance frendly and a LOT cheaper.
