Garage is fitting a new set of lifters on Wednesday (under warranty) as the set previously fitted did not cure the tapping. Whilst their at it, there are a couple of other things I need some advice on.
Firstly, is it right that a new cam belt should be fitted as part of the process (last one, plus rollers, was fitted in August 2002)? If so, please explain why.
Also, what else can cause tapping at the top end?
