never heard of skimmed valves and tappets before. sounds like someones been embellishing their story to sound like they know what theyre talking about. lapped valves yes, lapped tappets maybe. neither of which is an upgrade or enhancement its just servicing.
The 1300 head is definately better of the two but its not as simple as swapping heads because they used different inlet manifolds (square ports on 1400 head, arched on 1300)
well i know they are round thats why i wanted em, cause everyone says that the arch'd ones are better and that the square ones r better for economy, seeming as i dont even get that thought may aswell upgrade slightly as make it slightly more powerful
my tappets r making a lil bit of noise, well i think as there is a metalic knockin comin from the fourth cylinder/ valve wateva, the one closest to the cambelt, stays pretty much constant wen its idle and u give it a bit of revs same noise
....anyways wat else would be involved if i removed my old one and slapped this one on, i would like to do it myself so as much info as poss would be nice
