i was just loosening off the cambelt abit as it was making a noise and after loosening it off i tightened up the water pump hand tight with the allan key, started it up and the noise was gone- brilliant. turned it off and tightened up the water pump bolts abit more turning the allan key with pliers. Started it up again to make sure it was gone and it now makes a horrible high pitch squeel.
i gave it a couple of revs and with each rev the noise goes and then comes back as it idles. went round the block and when im accelerating in any gear the noise is gone but the second i let off to change gear or stop for junctions etc its back again straight away.
is it catchin on somethin do you think? or have i messed up the water pump or something by adjusting the cambelt tension?
cheers for any ideas
