Im still having problems with the car it isnt running as it should.
When pulling off in 1st gear it seems to pull quite well, a little hesitation but sometimes seems to be revving and not pulling enough.
When I go into 2nd gear same thing happens and it seems to build up power slowly instead of being readily available..
As long as the revs are high this prob does not seem to effect 3rd 4th and 5th...?
I recently added to the tank a bit of the old 'Slick 50 Fuel Treatment'.. this has actually improved things, it has stopped the engine run-on and is now a little smother on acceleration.
I am convinced it is a fuel system problem.. (does anyone agree?)
*Could the auto chock be sticking on? (bearing in mind the symptoms are identical if the engine is hot or from cold start.)
*Could the fuel filter need replacing or is the fuel systems as a whole suspect..?
PLUS: I know I go on a bit but if I haven't sent you all to sleep yet with my rambling on read on a little...
I was sat in traffic for about 10-15mins on the way home from work earlier and notice the temp gauge was slowly climbing up the scale from about 75/80 to 85deg. up until I hit the Q's I had probable drove about 10mins so the engine was at prop working temp. Could this be a shafted head gasket..(the oil looks clean no sludge).
Thanks in advance guys
