my car started first time this morning in the snow, however i got about 100 metres down the road and it cut out without me being able to start it again.i later noticed that part of the loom that comes through the bulkhead is a bit burnt exposing some wires.
how could this have happened as it is not near anything hot??
the car tryed to start but just kept backfiring.
would appreciate any help.
I had something similar on a Frontera a few years ago. Basically part of the loom had been chafing against something, and eventually wore through the insulation and created a short circuit. If you can't easily replace the bit of the loom affected, you could always separate the wires and wrap each wire individually in insulating tape.
