I am rebuilding a LET at the mo. When it is finished i want to run Phase 3/3.5 software. At the moment, most of the rebuild parts are gona be standard except the pistons which will be machined to drop the compression very slightly, and possibly a 1.8mm head gasket. Phase 4's run the steel rods but this is quite a jump in power to the phase 3. I know the standard rods will cope as the phase 3 is usually run on healthy standard engines but im just thinking is it a sensible precaution to take if the engines already apart or is it just an extra expense that isnt really needed? Help!
