i replaced my cambelt today, and while i was at it thought i'd do my drivebelt as it is looking a bit worse for wear.
which one would expect to be easier?
the drive belt goes through the engine mount! haynes (lying gits) say you need to detach the mounting and slip the belt around it, but in actual fact, the mount bracket needs to be split to get the belt off.
there are three hex bolts holding it together, but i cant get at the upper one because of the mount rubber getting in the way.
is there an easier way of doing this, or do i need to completely remove the mount? i'd rather not remove it because it is a son of a bitch to get a spanner on.
