I've been thinking about getting my flywheel lightend and the crank balanced for it. The flywheel is off a C20LET (1993) with the heaver pot-type flywheel. I've just weighed it and it came to 9kg.
On SBD they quote about 9kg to 7.4kg.
Now thats on a C20XE pot-type flywheel (the same as fitted to my C20LET).
But I've thought you could fit the lighter flat-type flywheel which means
1) its already lighter
2) it now makes changing the clutch eaiser without removing the gearbox.
you could then get the flat-type lighten from 7.4kg to 5.4kg.
The trouble is I think that the pot-type is 8 stud while the flat-type is 6-stud.
So I need to change the crank as well in my C20LET ?? also are there any aftermarket/uprated clutchs for sale for the C20LET with flat-type flywheel?
