Power by High-Tech-inlet-manifold-tuning
With the Lexmaul RAM-Induction inlet-manifold-system you can raise the power without problems up to 5 - 11 KW, and even without a deterioration of the performance character.
This is because of the fact, that the RAM-Induction is already working in the middle rotational-speed range.
How does this work? By the RAM-Induction the pressure in front of the intake valve is 0,2 bar ( a turbo has 0,6, but keep its price in mind ), so the volumetric efficiency of the cylinder is raised and the power will grow.
To achieve the effect, we have not simply used a bigger diameter of the inlet-manifold and have worked over the cylinder head. Rather we developed in lots of tests with the Lexmaul-typical care and our technical know-how complete new inlet manifolds for the following Opel / Vauxhall engines:

The power increasing pressure develops like this : After the for the combustion necessary air has been filtered, has passed the air-flow sensing component and has left behind the throttle valve, it is entering the inlet-manifold ( the RAM-Induction ), which has the duty to carry from a collecting box through the single
manifolds the air to the cylinders.
Now the following is happening: At the suction stroke the inlet valve is opened by the camshaft. The down going piston is producing a vacuum, which is fastening the in the inlet-manifold standing air column. The developing vacuum wave is going to the entrance of the inlet-manifold at the collecting box. There it is
changed into an overpressure wave which is going to the cylinder. By this effect the power-pressure is
The engine, for which we developed the RAM-Induction system, had a great potential for power increase by inlet-manifold-tuning. For example the Kadett-E GSI 16 V is able due to his low weight and its gear adjusting to take advantage of the RAM-Induction. The same effect has it for the Vectra 16 V. The Calibra achieves
due to his low CW-data by RAM-Power a clear high end speed.
The Lexmaul-RAM-Induction system is the ideal base or addition to other Lexmaul-tuning-parts, which especially in combination makes your Opel / Vauxhall more sporty. Obvious the RAM-Induction-Kit is including all necessary fitting parts.
The "little" 16 V engines from Opel are very modern constructions with an above average power. But even at these constructions the car manufacturer has to make compromises, which are imposed to him from several sides. We, as an innovating company, are not forced to these compromises.
Our development department has, as some years before at other engine generations, examined the inlet-manifolds and recognized their potential. So we developed our type I, II and III. Target of this development was to increase the top-power without loosing the torque. By modifying several diameter and air ways we
achieved a complete new power characteristic. Now the RAM-Induction was infecting also over 6000 rpm and the power is already noticeable from 3700 rpm on.
