a lightened and balanced bottom end?????
ie crank, con rods, flywheel etc?
is this going to be a disadvantage in a fwd application, ie in a nova?
the reason i ask is the above items when lightened etc mean the engine can rev freely. this would be great in a 4wd due to the grip. but im going to be using it in a fwd nova along with the phase 3.5 kit, ie 330bhp. im begining to think that the more parts are lightened and balanced the faster the engine will rev therefore causing more wheelspin, and wheelspin is something i want to try to combat. is it going to be greatly advantageous having everything lightened, or just a big disadvantage for the 1/4 mile?
i had planned on using a 5kg lightened and balanced f20 flywheel in the f28 g/box. the std turbo one is something like 13kg, so i think this is a bit light ie revs drop faster causing boost to be at a greater loss when changing gear. or am i completely wrong?
lol, im not sure what to do really. it will mostly be used for 1/4 mile runs the car, although sometimes on the road, just not that often
