I have the larger of the 2 breather pipes from the cam cover running down behind the engine into that big catch tank called a road
The air trunking section is blocked off.
The smaller of the 2 pipes has been blocked off at the cam cover, and throttle body inlet points, so only the larger pipe is now functional.
All is well, a nice clean throttle body, and car is running fine, but someone made a few points today which im curious to know the answers to.
(1) In standard form with pipe connected, how does this affect engine performance and emissions in regards that unmetered air is actually entering the throttle body after the AFM ?
(2) If the system is designed to allow for that issue, then how is the engine again affected by the mod being performed which removes that air ?
Remember, im not talking about the shite and crud issue, its purely the air and how it affects the engine.
Sorry for the waffle, but wanted to explain it exactly to get the right answers.
