Do you know anyone that will do that shim stuff for me properly?
It was suggessted the toe may be caused by a damaged axle so I could replace that from the scrappers as a start. A new axle cost about 1068 ukp from Vauxhall!!!!
As for handling the car is psyco-car it wants to drive over the white lines in the road in an insidious manner!!!! The stiffer dampers and new bushes helped but the problem seems to still be there.
It also seems to be that the steering isn't precise enough to correct the wandering. Driving with finger tips helps though !!!! Would a worn steering rack affect handling it is a 90,000 mile unit from a Astra MK I GTE which felt smooth when I tested it off the car! better than the rather loose 150,000 mile unit I had! I think the rack may be a red-herring.
I will check the gap between the rim and shock next time I use it. poxy cars!
