My c20let has developed a annoying problem once warm when I put the power on and come back.off its like no fuel is getting through and spluttering when idling sometimes making car cut out. Then the engine will.start up again and drive ok . Plugs are new leads dizzy arm cts .:face:
have you ran it low on petrol? even with the new filter there could be a blockage in the fuel system! did you check the wiring and earth for the pump??
The fuel pick up is at the bottom of the tank generally and with tanks that run external pumps the outlet is gravity fed and at the lowest point of the system, so whether it is full or empty, if there is dirt in there it'll find its way through regardless, hence the fitment of a fuel filter.
Fuel pump relay would be another place to check. OEM pump failures aren't that common tbh, if anything the wiring breaks down with age and you stop getting a good constant voltage supply to them. They get noisy if the tank breather gets blocked (carbon cannister) and if the fuel filter is blocked or if there is a split in the pipe work carrying fuel from tank to pump/injector rail, so check there too. Not sure if your car has an in-tank pump or an external one with a damper like Calibra/Astra MK2s do. Not up on my Novas sadly.
