it can go nuts..
but most likely you´ll not have a problem..
You don´t have any knocksensor huh?
Yes, i have.. My fuel injection is Le-Jetronic, analogy, but have Bosch EZK module, is digital system, and its uses knock sensor for make correct point of ignition.

as long as you got a knocksensor and mechanical tappets it CAN go crazy yes!
the knocksensor is an piezo microphone that listens to the engine for 'pings'
if the tappets sound almost like 'pings'
it CAN make mistakes
But most likely not..

Yes i do,,,
But that´s on the XE engine (150hp 16v 2.0dohc)
And it works fine..
but my first reaktion is..
when you go for so lumpy camshaft you´ll get other problems instead.
Restricting airmeter is one of them..
Yep.. i don't will make it in my 8V.. i will make in my future 16V with motronic..
Le-jetronic is crap for tunning..
that´s why i use Haltech

just another problem that may accur with an XE engine and lumpy camshafts.
the 'pulses' in the inlet manifold can disturb the airmass meter.
that´s the most common problem on XE engines with standard motronic.
My haltech system can be mounted on ANY engine yes
And you can throw that piece of junk airmeter..
