Been persisting with a fuel odour through the air vents for a week or so now. And decided today was the time to do something about it. Well discovered the leak...pretty obvious really. Its dripping in two places from underneath the SFI box. One at a join where a thick gauge tube goes to a smaller gauge.(sorry for total lack of technical term). And one from right under the box.
Simple i thought. Get the SFI box off and all will be clear. I've got carb cleaner to clean the throttle body anyway. Any kill two birds with one stone gen? ( i've been reading the forum since i bought the car 2 months ago. guess i've picked up the language)
Until i look at the hexagonal bolts. Rounded to ****. There are no straight edges, just one big circle. There was obviously a moron or two among the 6 previous owners of this car. I'm guessing it was originally 5mm but thats too small now. Allen key just spins. Tried the 5.5. Too big.
What do i do. Drill the old bolts and get some new one?
As a sidenote. Whats the best way to keep the paper clip in place when doing the diagnostic check on the ABS. Was hoping it was just the bulb gone but sadly not.
