After a 200 mile motorway run at about 90-95mph on Friday my car sat about all weekend only going to the shops and back. It now runs like a bitch, and is a real pain to drive. When i dip the clutch between gearchanges it almost stalls and is very jerky at low revs. When i get to a junction the revs either drop very low and i need to rev it to prevent a stall or it sits at about 2000rpm. At idle the exhaust doesnt make a steady humm anymore, it makes popping, puffing noises and spits out lots of wet sooty crap. its not petrol and not oil. It sometimes did this when cold. I presumed it was condensation mixed with soot from the inside of the exhaust but it does this all the time now. The exhaust reeks of eggs now too.
It is a 1.6 16v in a 1997 astra done about 72000 miles.
