    C20XE '96 CORSA B DriveShaft questions

Hi, I have a C20XE in my Corsa and need an offside drive shaft, the long one.
Just wondering where the best places to get one from?

been told a breaker's yard is fine and they can be had from about £25. . .
Is a regular Corsa shaft fine for a C20XE?

What's the part number for what I'll need? - Apparently, Halfords can get the part? I'm dubious about that, specially as they're extortionate and usually useless.

    Many thanks!

Had a blow out, caught a curb and damaged the bottom ball joint, wheel came loose in effect and was dragging out to the side and it's damaged the shaft.

From what I gather, I'll need to know what set up is already on the car, before buying what I need. . . Still unsure of what's fitted really. I have no experience with these cars!
    Thanks for the link!

No idea what you have on your car.

Print of the advice on there. Take it to whoever is doing driveshaft. They are probably just changing the CV's.

XE corsa's tend to have 1.6 corsa shafts with 1.6 cavilier mk2 inner cvs

If not you'll have to try see if anyone can identify it in a picture

Check the number on the top of the gearbox housing, you should see an "F20" or similar number, that will tell you what your inner CV should be, or alternatively count the number of splines on the inner and outer CVs and let us know. You say it's just the shaft you need, but by identifying the details above, you may have a better chance of sourcing a complete second hand unit off here.
