    leaking abs unit

ive refitted all of my brake lines on my project but i have an issue with my abs unit

    the two 12mm nuts leak.......

i have reflared the pipe about 5 times each and all looked fine every time. first abs unit one line leaked when i pressed brake pedal

and then the other one went on the new abs unit (the other one doesnt leak now!)

originally i thought it was just bad flares from me but it seems to be a more random leak. the rest of the lines are fine. i tried just putting in a single flare and it still does it.

i only have a cheap flaring kit (double flare £10 ebay job) but its worked on all of the other lines including the two 12mm nuts on the rear brake bias.

are you supposed to do different flares on the 12mm nuts? im a little confused and annoyed at brake fluid all over the front left garage floor!

we all have the cheap ass kits

i bought some pre flared lines off the net but was beginning to think it was the 12mm but specifically.

brake lines should be easy! they usually all are but this fookers not playing ball.

looks a bit pissed? or is that your photo skills lmao

Are you using a proper pipe cutter for a neat end that isn't work hardened?

Finally, tathan says hurl ABS in a skip and redo the rest, but possibly late/extreme.

definately my photo skills was trying to get a proper side on view

this is the only bugger that leaks....proper pipe cutter used (well cheap roller blade version but it gives a nice finish)

binning abs is seeming a good option!
