    vauhall astra 1.6 16v head

have been to look at a convertible vauhall astra 1.6 16v 2003 plate this morning and it was in a garage the salesman seemed genuine enough and explained they had took the car p/x and when got it back to the garage was blowing cold air so basically theyve took it into the garage had the head off are having it skimmed pressure tested and all new parts i see this as a nit of a plus at least i no the work has been done heres the issue the car has done just 70,000 miles now would it be normal or possible for this to happen after this mileaga or is it likely to have been clocked? the car itself has a full service history not sure about full m.o.t history any help would be appreciated as i really like the car but woudnt want to take too much of a risk cheers ste

head gasket can fail at quite low miles, all depends how it's been driven etc. Full service history is a bonus. If the price was right, I wouldn't worry
