I'd wait to see if it goes bang TBH

I'd have gone for the F20 myself.

Anyway, you have a big heavy engine and a little car. Its not going to handle great.

Whats insurance like on these V6 Corsa?
For the love of God, please read the rules

try one on an F13!!! Makes for 'interesting' acceleration!!! Sod all top end, but gets there quick. F20 and F16 take same shafts I think ie 'big block' shafts.. Calibra/Cavalier F18 probably be nice spread of ratios for a V6 corsa...

F18 the box to run on v6 have one on my 3.1 v6 and it taking some cutting. All I ever hear is f20 going bang. You'll not sort the torque steer unless you by a diff. Or fit a f28 box. I'm gonna fit my equal length shafts see if it helps my traction problem.

    Re: corsa v6 gearbox

I am using an F17WR box from a diesel Cavalier mainly because it was in good condition and free. I dont have a big problem with torque steer probably because of the longer ratios but then the acceleration wont be as good as the CR boxes. I have never been in another V6 Corsa to compare the 2 tho.
@Paul- I could only get one insurance company to cover the car with all mods declared (Adrian Flux), tax book has been changed to the new engine size and number so its all above board but the insurance last year was £900 limited mileage as a second car. Not cheap by any means!
Sorry forgot to mention that it was £900 with 10 years NCB and 4 points

ive got a corsa 3.0 v6 mine has a f20 box with a f18 5th gear, ur f16 wont take the strain for very long i would of thought. 172 mph when i hit the limiter in 5th would be interesing due to the weight issue 1100 kg on the scales the car weights.

f20 f16 pretty much same box ratios ect so wont make any difference changing them (unless youve got a f16cr box) fit a equal length shaft setup that will sort "some" of your tourqe steer problems
