i was pulling away nice and slow like a grandad and my E M L lit up for about ten seconds then went back out. Car seems to be running ok but bit worried about it. It seems to be a little lumpy on idle since i put motor in 20seh. Does anyone know why the EML would come on for such a short space of time and what it could be?
Do the pedal test and see what codes flash up.

im no computer wiz so forgive me if i put stuff in the wrong places im a retard if it makes it any easier lol
just looked at pedal test thing and as paul said he knows the score i cant do this as i have a mk 3 astra so no digi dash codes for me
so the question still stands anybody know why me eml come on?? nothing like this has happened yet and car pulls ok i think it may be holdin back a bit tho

not too sure goin to change lamba sensor now see if it cures it
do u know how to clear the fault codes mate
just changed the lamba sensor paul do u know how to re set ecu ??
Try leaving the battery off a while like an hour.

On older models leaving the bat off will only clear pending codes, not stored, but it should go after 50 cold starts. Doesnt really matter tbh, the light will go off if it fixes it.Originally Posted by candy kane
