supercharged corsa b

just a wee plan i have. im currently gathering all parts needed to complete the simple task of converting a corsa b c12nz to run with a x18xe1. the 1.8 engine wil be and sitting around for a while while i get it ready. This all seams too easy for my liking though and am contemplating on supercharging it while its out, superchargers are a new exploration for me so im not so clued up on em. iv worked on them before plenty of times but have never fitted one to an engine its not designed for. i take it lowering compression goes hand in hand with all types of forced aspiration not just turbos? what other parts do it need? has anyone on here yet done it and most important is it worth it.

Yes, lower compression also applies.

I've contemplated the same on my 2l8v corsa. But space is a bit of a problem

Might be a good idea to fit an intercooler as well, if you can use on of the supers that look like a turbo you might be able to use the space where the air con used to sit.
Don't forget to use a heat shield if you do the above.

you don’t need to take that much compression out of it if planning to run decent management and some form of inlet charge cooling, the 18 xe1 i supercharged runs at 9.2 to 1

Double steel headgasket should also do the trick.

Double mls gasket drops the compression on a 20seh from 10.0:1 down to about 9.2:1
