missfire on half throttle

hello my car has developed a missfire if you put the throttle to half way or to the floor, had it on a diagnostics and came up with maf circuit malfunction so got a new one and still no difference. iv changed the plugs and coil and still nothing the cars a 1.2 16v corsa any help would be great thanks

check that the leads are not loose ..

had that prob on my corsa 1.0 ...do some tape on the plugs to make a tighter fit and see if it makes any difference

cheers m8 ill try it tomorow when im up hope it works dont really want to spend money on the engine i only need it till the weather picks up then putting a v6 in it. iv noticed aswell it dosent do it when its cold as it warms up it gets worse .

i tried the tape on the plugs and no difference at all i think its something to do with fuel as when its cold and the chokes on its fine. it first started when i ran it low on fuel and it started to splutter, so i got to the petrol station asap thinking it was goin to run out filled it up and the problems been ther ever since.

..it might be coming from fuel would be worth checking the fuel filter maybe when it was low on fuel some dirt got sucked up, also make sure you don't have any air pipes leaking.

i put a brand new air flow metre on it today went for a drive and it made it worse at first i would barely pull off then when i got it to go it missfires worse all the way through the rev range. i will take it back and swap it for another tomorow incase its faulty but if it isnt what could be making it worse with a new one ??

and also iv been driving with the coolant temperature sensor unplugged which makes it alot better but really bad on fuel

cheers m8 ther the same symtoms as mine so will try my mates tomorow off his car just dont understand how the air flow made it worse

unplugging the CTS, generaly makes the car run very rich at times... so if this improves it, then that would point to a sensor providin incorrect info causing it to run lean. Or you have a leak somewhere

Look at MAP, LAMBA, CTS and clean the ICV

If youve put a new coilpack, change any HT leads too
