clicking noise C20 xe and F20

i have a c20xe and and f20box, I replaced the 2nd gearbox but I still have the same noise, the noise is when the gear is not engaged (free) it make a clicking noise, is seems to be from gearbox but its not because i tried 2 gearboxes, when the gear is engaged it is without noise, and even when i press the clutch pedal the noise stops any idea what it can be .

i do not think its the clutch bearing because when it is pressed there is load on it and when pressed the noise will stop

But the thrust bearing is not turning until the pedal is pressed so how come it can be the bearing??

Thats just what they do.While its not got any pressure on it the bearings rattle around as they get loose but when you put pressure on it it squeezes the bearings together and stops the rattling.
Mines gone to it rattles til i put my foot on the clutch then goes quiet.Soon as i lift my foot i get the rattling again.Had acouple of cars before that have done the same thing too.
Always good practice to change the bearing when you`ve got the box off anyway.

Could be one of the pressure plate fingers is slightly bent or damaged making that noise against the realease bearing.

Bearing is in light contact with the diaphram fingers with this design, some mechanical linkage designs have a spring pulling it from contacting the fingers, this may be what you're more familiar with.
With hydraulic clutch systems, it's normal to have a light contact.
Any wear or irregularities in the bearing assembly or it's retainer can result in noise.
Not something that usually NEEDS replacement, unless it's giving a rough feel at the pedal or making a grinding or squealing noise - but it can be really annoying.

if you pull up on the pedal, you may notice the sound going away, if it allows the release bearing to be pulled back from the pressure plate.

I checked and it looks like i have a bent spring on the clutch release plate that is catching while its spinning around, now next i will remove it and see how can i fix it or else buy a new one.

    Thanks
