    Power on a z20let engine

As above really have a rebuild engine too standard spec with complete new head, pistons and bearings ect, just wondering would it handle 270 bhp without any problems? Cheers

z20let should run 280bhp no problem, 300bhp on standard.......

198bhp from the factory....with de catted s/s exhaust, enlarged top hat, direct intake, fmic, VXR afm and injectors and an aggressive remap....275-280bhp easy 1500 will cover this....add a VXR turbo and another remap = 300bhp.

From there you would want to look at the internals.

Well that's the plan really already have the VXr turbo and exhaust and decats, also going to be making a hard pipe kit at work for an standard evo fmic, will also use the 1.9 cdti airbox, so just hoping for around the 270 mark with a good map, but want it too last since its a new engine, don't want to take it all back out in a years time,
    Cheers

With your spec its best to stick at 270 otherwise you'll be going through turbo's on a regular basis. Saying that a vxr turbo aint that expensive so i guess you could just replace it every 6 month

with that setup could i do the 1000 - 1500 miles run in before i get a map on it ( without doing any damage) or could i sent my ECU down to courtenay sport to get a sort of base map todo the run in then take the car down for the prober map?

I'm on a similar spec to post 3 and my KKK turbo is still strong....seals fine on the turbo and no play on the shaft ect.
